Greetings from Team 2!

Hey Everyone

It's Claire from Team 2! We've had a great week!

The rest of our visit with our supervisors, Pat and Meaghan, went well. On Wednesday they planned our team day. As part of our sister time, we went to the library and read each other children's books! Yes, this may seem a bit crazy, but it was great sisterhood bonding time. After all, who doesn't like a good story? Then the whole team had a pumpkin carving contest. I'm proud to say that Christian and I won, but they were all very creative.

That evening, Meaghan, Lauren, Natalie, and I carved pumpkins with our host mom. Natalie displayed a bit of her artistic side and made a cool design. Our host mom was so thrilled with them. She was such a wonderful person and we had a great time hanging out with her. I was sad to leave!

On Thursday we experienced our first snow of the year as we were driving to Whitecourt. It took us a bit longer than expected to get there and there was a good bit of snow when we got there. Well, it wasn't that much, but a lot for me who has never seen that much in October!

We had an awesome Encounter Day on Saturday! There were only twelve youth; they were from the church youth group. They were a variety of ages but they were all really attentive and enthusiastic. They were also really into prayer ministry! It was really nice to have a small group; we got to know them well.

On Sunday we drove to Okotoks, where we are currently. Riane is from High River, which is near Okotoks, so she is staying with her family. She was super excited! I'm staying with them as well, they are a beautiful family.

I was really excited to see my first mountains! They are so beautiful, that's a picture of them on the right.
That's all for now, goodbye till next week!

God Bless,

Claire Labish
Team 2
